Cristiano Ronaldo on Messi: “We are not friends”
Cristiano Ronaldo gave an exclusive interview with beINSport USA and discussed his relationship with Barcelona arch-rival Lionel Messi
“It’s not just now, it’s the last five years it’s always the same [media focus on Messi-Ronaldo relationship]”
“I don’t work in the press, I don’t work in television, I cannot control it. They [the media] love to do that”
“I have to do my work, I have to train, I have to score, I have to play and try to help my team all the time.”
“He’s a great player, [we have] a professional relationship like I have with other players. I’m not friends with him because we don’t share the same dressing room, we don’t go out for dinner. I respect him as a professional but we are not friends”
“If he comes here [to Real Madrid] we play together, this is not difficult”
